개관특별전 <포스트 네이처:친애하는 자연에게>는 한국 산업화의 상징인 도시 울산에서 출발한다.
농업 사회에서 산업 사회로 전환된 이후 울산은 한국뿐 아니라 세계 경제 발전을 유지하기 위해 생태계를 광범위하게 희생했다.
그리고 여전히 ‘자본’과 ‘질서’는 생태를 집어삼켜 우리의 미래를 더 효율적으로 만들겠다고 약속한다.
이렇듯 찬란한 미래를 열망해왔던 우리의 생태는 최근 일상을 산산조각 낸 전염병과 여러 글로벌 위기로 돌아왔다.
제목에서 ‘이후’로 번역되는 ‘포스트’는 뒤에, 다음 등 다양한 의미를 가진다. ‘포스트 네이처’는 인류와 생태를
더 먼 미래로 확장해 도래할 세계를 상상한다. <포스트 네이처:친애하는 자연에게>는 인류가 바꾸어 놓을 수
있는 생태가 아닌 역사와 문화 정치가 얽힌 복잡한 감각을 떠올린다.
이를 통해 관객에게 경각심을 일깨우기보다 인간과 인간이 아닌 것을 나누던 이분법적 사고에서 벗어나
생태적 감수성을 다시 설정하고 “함께 연대하며 살아가는 것이 무엇인지” 생각할 수 있는 다층적 계기를 제공한다.
This special inaugural exhibition exhibition
This special inaugural exhibition <Post Nature: Dear Nature> commences from Ulsan,
which is the symbolic city of Korean industrialization.
After the transition from an agrarian society to an industrial society,
Ulsan has extensively exploited the ecosystem to maintain the economic development of the world as well as Korea.
Furthermore, 'Capital' and 'Order' promise us to make our future more efficient by devouring the notion of ecology.
However, this aspiration of the brilliant future brought pandemic and global crises that shattered our everyday life.
The 'Post' which is translated as 'After' in the exhibition's title has various meanings such as 'behind' and 'the following'.
'Post Nature' imagines the world we will advent through expanding humans and ecosystems to the future.
<Post Nature: Dear Nature> does not simply present the ecosystem which humans can change,
but reminds the complicated sense of intertwined history and cultural policy.
The exhibition will not only raise the awareness of nature in danger,
but reset our ecological sensitivity beyond the previous dichotomous perspective of
human and non-human and provide a multilayered opportunity to think about "what is living in solidarity."
